Squire readies ‘Our First Time’ for his own Anims imprint this June.

Following Squire’s debut album on Mobilee, ’Stop’, the Barcelona-based DJ/producer prepares to release two standout tracks for his own Anims imprint, the artists first new release since the 2021 LP. Featuring vocals from previous collaborator Pilar Icazuriaga, ‘Our First Time’ follows the first release on Anims by Oriol Calvo, which picked up support from Ame, Laurent Garnier, and Sasha amongst others.

Leading the release, the extended mix ‘Our First Time’ sees Icazuriaga’s ethereal vocal performance drift across a lush composition of delicate instrumentation, rolling drums, and a carefree atmosphere, matched on the shorter original mix. Complimenting the two mixes of the title track is ‘Vectors’, with sliding basslines, emotive synthesis, and mammoth build-ups combining to form a track bound to create memorable moments on the dancefloor.

Anims is a multi-faceted entertainment platform founded by ex-Formula 1 racer Jaime Alguersuari, now international DJ/producer Squire. It encompasses an event brand for interactive conferences and talks (virtual and physical), musical events, and an imprint for genre-free electronic music.
